Sri Lanka's Bansei Royal Resorts Hikkaduwa to go public

Bansei Royal Resorts Hikkaduwa Limited, a hotel in Sri Lanka's popular beach resort town of Hikkaduwa will be listed in its second board, the Colombo Stock Exchange said

Bansei, a Japan based firm which had made several investments in Sri Lanka, owns a 39 percent stake in the hotel which has 34 rooms, an official said.

The company's 53.7 million shares will be listed on the 'Diri Savi' second board of the exchange, through a process of introduction where subscriptions need not be collected from the public before the float.

But at least 10 percent of the firm must be held by shareholders who are not in control.
